MJ (MELISSA-JANE) SHAW: Studio Owner & Founder     Health Coach & Group Fitness Instructor     Mileage:  I’ve been teaching fitness, dance and yoga across North America for almost 25 years.  A recently retired actor of 30 years  (that’s a lot of combined years… I’m 100 years old), I’ve spent  much of my career on stage , screens and in sound booths – in addition to studios and gyms. With a history of performing in hundreds of musicals, theatre shows and live performances, I am also a professional choreographer and director. As an entrepreneur, I’ve founded  theatre ,  event entertainment  and  fitness companies , in addition to working in PR, film production and even at the Prime Minister’s Office back in the day. Yes, my worlds and days have always been multi-disciplinary and filled with variety, so I look forward to consolidating my efforts here with you, all under one soul fuelled roof. MA in Drama Studies from UofT. 2018 & 2019 Canfitpro Fitness Professional of the Year Finalist.   What gives you SOUL:  Empowering women. RACHAEL FALLON:  Yoga Instructor     MILEAGE:  For the past 25 years, I have been a student of yoga, movement, meditation and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I fuse these worlds together into everything I am and my teachings. I have studied everything from Yin Yoga, Power Yoga, Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Breathwork, Axis Syllabus, Contact Dance, Gestalt Psychotherapy, Vipassana, Dyad Work, Tantric Tibetan Buddhism and Vedanta in India, Thailand, Nepal, China, Malaysia, Bali and Canada. I have been a full-time Yoga Teacher for 17 years, and I spent 7 of those years living throughout Asia leading Teacher Training, Workshops, Retreats, Master Classes and studying with masters in my craft. Rachael is also a Trained Psychotherapist, Reiki Healer and Women's Facilitator.   What gives you SOUL : I love creating community and sharing yoga with others, I see this path as a life practise. It unites so many multi faceting humans from different walks of life, and yoga a safe space where we can be our authentic selves, where we take off our masks and come together to be free. It's a place of deep surrender and letting go, and there is nothing more inspiring than witnessing and being apart of this process as a teacher. I secretly tear up when I see the growth and " aha " moment's that happen in the yoga room, especially those moment's when they embrace and embody SOUL.   What gives you FUEL:  Discipline, Flow and Surrender. Being wildly free, deeply intuitive, embracing fear and living outside of the lines and boxes.

A recent TEDx presenter with decades of experience in fitness, dance and education, Michelle has become a sought after speaker and facilitator for any industry. Michelle also spent years on the professional stage in musical theatre, sailing the Caribbean on cruise ships and summer gigs at theme parks. Michelle is also a published author in a national education textbook sharing her philosophy about dance and movement. Certifications: B.Ed., B.A., Canfitpro FIS.   What gives you SOUL:  I absolutely LOVE music. It can create a mood, ignite energy, inspire reflection and of course make the body move and groove! My secret weapons are my new “bionic” hips, which were just fully replaced in 2018… my 7 year old son (who also is one of my main motivations!) likes to think I am like a cyborg now - I’ll take it! I’ve also been involved in track and field throughout school and continue to be an avid runner. I’ve been teaching all over the city for the last 7 years and am always happy to teach in my west end neighbourhood. Certifications include canfitpro FIS & PT, RYT Yoga, Balanced body Pilates, Spin and TRX. University of Western Ontario BA in Kinesiology. Yet where I’ve gained the most experience, is life itself!

What gives you SOUL: I genuinely love winter running and winter in general! I also 100% believe in aliens and am always looking up and watching the stars.

DANA FRADKIN:  Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor     Mileage:  I trained as a competitive dancer in high school before falling into the world of stunts and martial arts. I've got a mean sidekick as well as a badass flying-helmet kick. It keeps me present, challenges the body, makes my heart race, my soul laugh and afterwards always gives me that burn that keeps me feeling alive! Let's us feel all these things together!

Mileage: I trained as a competitive dancer in high school before falling into the world of stunts and martial arts. I've got a mean sidekick as well as a badass flying-helmet kick. For the last 12 years I’ve been Personal Training and teaching HIIT bootcamp, martial arts, boxing, tumbling, dance fusion, capoeira and just basic ninja knowledge! Certifications: canfitpro and CPTN.

What gives you SOUL: I am also a creative artist: I write short films and features and direct opera and sometimes do silent slapstick clown. My absolute favourite! I love to choreograph and create stories through the body. But also I just kind of think I'm Buffy, ready to slay anytime.

What gives you FUEL: I love running, I joined a running group last year! I also love yoga, martial arts and weight training. But I never feel as inspired as I do when I do capoeira. It keeps me present, challenges the body, makes my heart race, my soul laugh and afterwards always gives me that burn that keeps me feeling alive! Let's us feel all these things together!

I have a History and Drama degree from McMaster University and my education degree from OISE. I get to be on stage every day teaching school age kiddies how to love themselves, work together and find a passion in life through my dance program. I am a certified POUND and Generation POUND instructor because rocking out those green drum sticks is something I have to share with people daily. I love teaching the Dance AQ through York University to help teachers bring the love and creativity of dance to their programs.   What gives you SOUL:  I am lucky to be the mom of two incredible boys with the sweetest husband and all three of them fill my soul with laughter, love and adventure. Being active outside brings me joy and a makes me feel powerful. I live my life by my Mama's motto "Move your feet and your mind will follow". When I give myself fuel, I have more to give my kids, husband and clients. I do that by trying to keep my family’s schedule organized, eating nutritious meals, and trying to stay on top of my personal Pilates practice. Nothing makes me feel more strong, clear-headed and FUELLED than a GREAT CLASS! (oh, and coffee…☺).

What gives me FUEL: Making sure that there is BALANCE in my days. When I give myself fuel, I have more to give my kids, husband and clients. I do that by trying to keep my family’s schedule organized, eating nutritious meals, and trying to stay on top of my personal Pilates practice. Nothing makes me feel more strong, clear-headed and FUELLED than a GREAT CLASS! (oh, and coffee…☺).
